A leading gas distribution company in the United States.

Situation

The client required AABSyS to update and modernize its gas distribution data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration within the ArcGIS Pro Utility Network (UN) environment.

Task

• Update service connections and distribution assets in GIS.
• Migrate legacy data into ArcGIS Pro UN with all relevant attributes.
• Conduct dirty area validations and QA/QC checks to ensure data consistency.
• Deliver clean, usable GIS datasets for operational safety and outage management.

Action/Approach

• Identified streetlights with “Proposed” status and replaced them with new “Existing” features at the same locations.
• Added new streetlights at locations where no streetlight data existed previously in the GIS.
• Ensured all updates maintained spatial accuracy and followed project specifications.
• Reviewed and validated all changes for accuracy before final submission.
• Used QA/QC Tools to improve the overall output quality.
