The client is a major telecommunication firm in Canada.
For the planned decommissioning activity, the client required assistance in identifying and removing legacy copper cables from the field, specifically those that are outdated, defective
A technically robust solution was executed to facilitate the accurate removal of obsolete or unused copper cables from the network. The process involved analyzing and validating input data and preparing detailed schematics using software’s such as Net-X and Visio. Key documents—including the Route Consolidation Report, Rough Route Schematic, and DACS Sheet—were reviewed, completed, and used to map all feeder cables, manholes, and terminal points. Based on client feedback, precise removal designs and splice plans were created to identify specific cables and pair counts for decommissioning.
